Pershing County 4-H celebrates Halloween

There were bank robbers, angels, clowns, butterflies and princesses. Remington, the Great Dane, came disguised as the Big Bad Wolf. On Saturday evening, the Pershing County 4-H paraders let their imaginations soar.

The parade began at the train depot and headed down Main Street. Dog club leader Samira Dyer hosted the Growl-O-Ween dog costume contest at the courthouse park.

It was a busy Halloween Eve. The parade followed a scavenger hunt. The evening ended with a dance at the community center hosted by DJ Jon Damec.

“The parade was a great way for the whole town to see the costumes,” said 4-H coordinator Colby Burke. It was also an unofficial kickoff to Lovelock’s holiday season. Christmas is right around the corner. What do you suppose Remington wants in his stocking?
