The court lowered a fine from $195 to $149 on misdemeanor charges of unsafe turning movement/lane change against Kennth Bartlebaugh.
November 18
Cesar Guillermo Gutierrez pleaded no contest to misdemeanor tampering with a motor vehicle, amended from an original charge of gross misdemeanor unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. The court ordered 30 days in jail with 30 days suspended on the condition all recommendations on the defendant’s previously court-ordered drug and alcohol evaluation be followed.
A felony charge of sexual assault on a child under 14 against Alec Dave was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office without prejudice in open court as it is part of the case that the defendant is awaiting sentencing on in district court.
Jaeden Lee Hill pleaded no contest to misdemeanor possession of a drug not to be introduced into interstate commerce, amended from an original felony possession of a controlled substance charge. The court ordered a $600 fine + $140 administrative assessment + $250 public defender fee with all fines and fees converted to eight days jail and credit for time served.
November 23
Daniel Lee Akman II was ordered to pay a $235 fine on misdemeanor basic speed 11-20 over limit. The DA’s office dismissed misdemeanor charges of fail to obey police officer, proof of insurance required and registration certificate must be in vehicle.
A misdemeanor charge of following too close against April Lynn Smittcamp was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.
A misdemeanor charge of domestic battery first offense against Kenneth Vic Manzo was dismissed with prejudice on a motion by the DA’s office.
