Local event organizer Gini Cunningham partnered with Athiwan Yaemmuan Hustead of Fah Thai Cuisine to hold the Longest Day event on Saturday June 22 in Winnemucca and invited community members to participate. Cunningham said she tried to make the event fun and entertaining with activities that leave a memory and remembrance of the day, with participants taking home the projects they worked on at the event. The event included various art projects, food, music and fun. Donations were also accepted during the event and so far $655 was donated and contributed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
