Obituary: Timothy H. Prest

Early Wednesday morning June 5, 2019, went home to be with His Lord Jesus Christ.

Tim was 84 years old and was born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. After finishing school he joined the Navy and was stationed at Balboa Naval Station in San Diego, California.

Upon discharge from the service he moved to Lovelock, Nevada along with his new wife Virginia and baby son Craig. Soon came his other son Keith and the family moved to Jungo Nevada where he worked at the Iron King Mine.

He spent most of of his life in Winnemucca and after living in Elko, Alaska, Wyoming and Battle Mountain for a short time each ended up back in Winnemucca and retired when Pinson mine closed down.

Besides his immediate family he is survived by an older brother and sister, four grand children and several grand children.

Tim’s joy was learning more and more truths about Jesus and sharing those truths with other Christians. His favorite ministry was Advancing Native Missions because he knew that his giving was getting to the people who needed it the most to help them share the Gospel message all over the world.

There was a small memorial service held in honor of him where several shared their stories of him and the changes they saw in him after he became a Christian.

His wishes were fulfilled by giving his body to science. Hopefully, you can join us in saying, “Time, it’s not Good Bye, but rather, See you later.”
