The Winnemucca Regional Raceway (WRR) down Jungo Road hosted 19 racers in four different classes last Friday on a beautiful northern Nevada evening.

“This is my seventh or eighth year racing and I think this is my fifth car," said Bradley Schmidt, who  drives the No. 8 IMCA Modified car. "I started out in Pure Stock when I was fifteen and just got my permit. I did Mini-Mods for a couple of years before moving to Modifieds. I will be staying in that class, because the faster I go, the more it scares me, and that keeps me wanting to come back for more. It is a rush like no other.”

The WRR will have racing  the following Fridays at 7 p.m, on July 12, July 26, Aug. 23 and Sept. 13.

The July 26 racing will be part of the IMCA Wild West Modified Tour.

The Tour has signed up over 100 drivers so far from all over the western United States, and they will compete in Battle Mountain on Saturday, July 27.
