March CTX numbers mostly up

March 2019 consolidated tax (CTX) numbers were up compared to those from 2018. Statewide, taxable sales were up 4% year-over-year, at $4,628,409,110.



Humboldt County

Humboldt County taxable sales were up 21.6% from $39,815,966 in March 2018 to $48,415,535 this year. The difference between the two years was $8,599,569.

Of 81 listed industry categories, 25 recorded losses in Humboldt County. The largest loss was recorded in Insurance Carriers and Related Activities, which was down by $2,400 the prior year, an 95.7% change.

The largest gain was recorded in Food Manufacturing, which brought in $14,688 in March, a 6,546.2% change. Other notable gains were in the Furniture and Related Product Manufacturing, which brought in $5,605, a gain of 1,228.2% over the previous year.



Lander County

Lander County taxable sales were down  -3.9% from $28,951,701 in March 2018 to $27,833,098 this year. The difference between the two years was $1,118,603.

Of 75 listed industry categories, 29 recorded losses in Lander County. The largest loss was recorded in Utilities, which brought in $119,038, compared to March 2018 sales of $3,985,562, a change of -97%.  

The largest gain in the county was in Transportation Equipment Manufacturing, which brought in $205,262, a gain of 10,546.4% over the previous year. 



Pershing County

Pershing County taxable sales were up 31.9% from $6,770,067 in March 2018 to $8,929,170 this year. The difference between the two years was $395,353.

Of 73 listed industry categories, 28 recorded losses in Pershing County. 

The largest loss was recorded in Computer and Electronic Product Manufacturing, which brought in $149 this year, compared to March 2018 sales of $5,837.

The largest gain was recorded in Transportation Equipment Manufacturing, which brought in $1,619 more than the prior year, a -97.4% change.
