The final games of the regular season for the 11-12 year-old Winnemucca Little League teams were held last Saturday.
The Cubs and the Rockies took on the Angels from Battle Mountain to close out the year.
Brad Bauman is the coach of the Winnemucca Cubs.
“This was our last game of the season today against Battle Mountain,” Bauman said. “We play inter-league so our kids can see other kids that they usually don’t see.”
The Little League all-stars will play their first game on July 1.
Twelve-year-old James Puteain plays for the Cubs.
“I have been playing baseball for two years," Puteain said. "I like working with all of my friends on the team to get the outs and have fun. I like hitting the most because it makes me feel good when I get a hit and it rallies the team. I feel like our season went good, but there are things that we can work on for next year.”
