The Winnemucca Motocross Club hosted the sixth and final race of the Battleborn MX Series last weekend at the Winnemucca Regional Raceway on Jungo Road.
Almost 100 riders participated for the chance to win cash and bragging rights.
Eight-year old Gaven Giomi from Gardnerville raced in the event.
“I have been riding motocross for four or five years," Giomi said. "Motocross is hard and it is fun. When you win you get a big trophy and points toward the championship.”
The riders enjoyed two beautiful spring mornings to compete against their peers.
Jaiden Roberts (9) from Reno commented, “I have only been riding for one and a half years, but I have raced a lot. Motocross is fun, you get to hit jumps.”
Johnny Graves was a spectator at the motocross track and said, “My son (Justin) has been racing for three years. This is my second time at this track this year, I like watching my kid ride; it is exciting to watch.”
