On July 22, 2019, the Regional Transportation Commissioners received the following updates regarding current and future road projects:
Shaun Deforest with the Nevada Department of Transportation told commissioners that the department opened Nevada SR 795, also known as Reinhardt Lane, July 22. The road had been closed due to flooding.
Dave Schwartz with the Nevada Department of Transportation told the commission that the department has finalized a contract with Sierra Nevada Construction to chip seal portions of US 95 and SR 293 (Kings River Road).
The chip seal project on US 95 is expected to begin in early August and completed by September 1.
The portion of US 95 affected is from mile post 22 to mile post 74. SR 293 will undergo grind and pave. Schwartz said the road construction for SR 293 could begin as early as next week.
