Good Times Drag Strip hosts annual event

The Good Times Drag Strip hosted the King of the Hill races last Saturday night and it was attended by racers and visitors from the western United States.

Five hundred dollars and a trophy were awarded for the first place finish, and $100 was awarded to the second place finisher.

The Good Times Drag Strip features a 1/8 mile paved drag strip with a state of the art wireless timing system and it is located about six miles out Jungo Road.

The Northern Nevada Racing Association is a non-profit family oriented Drag Racing Club dedicated to the education of adults and teens in the safe practice of driving and the proper time and place to race in a controlled environment.  Since our rebirth in the early 80’s as a drag race only club, we have been setting up and administrating races in our community, most notably, the 50s Fever Street drags held on a city street in Winnemucca.

In the Fall of 2006, we acquired the land that our Track is located on.  Construction began and our first races were held at the track in the summer of 2009.

The Memorial Races will be held on Sept. 6-8, and the Winterize and Test and Tune will be held on October 5th to close out the racing season in Winnemucca.
