Today and tomorrow, Vitalant invites members of the community with and without badges to attend the third annual Battle of the Badges blood drive at the Winnemucca Convention Center to donate blood.
Vitalant said the event is a friendly competition between law enforcement, fire and emergency personnel. Community members who donate will have the opportunity to select their favorite agency to support in the event.
“This collaborative campaign enables badge carrying personnel to impact their communities by participating in a spirited competition to see which agency can donate the most blood. Local residents and community members will also be encouraged to donate, as well as vote for their favorite agency,” said Vitalant officials in a press release.
All participants will receive a limited edition t-shirt for participating while supplies last. Today (Wednesday, July 17) the blood drive will run from 12 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and tomorrow from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Winnemucca Convention Center.
