With heart felt sorrow, we have lost our son, Don Johnson Jr., on July 2, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Reno, from complications. Born August 5, 1975 in Winnemucca.
Don is survived by his parents Don Sr, and Carrie Johnson, Sister Sherry Ehrhart (Tom) from Fernley, Grandmother, Nora Marie Johnson, Winnemucca, Aunt Jean Olsen, Washington, Uncle and Aunt Howard and Joecyln Johnson, Winnemucca, Uncle and Aunt Matt and Kay Davis, Elko, Mark Davis, Fernley, Great Aunt and Uncle Walt and Gayle Mattice, Reno, Cousins Joanie (Judd) Higgins, Washington, Jacob Johnson, Spring Creek, Lisa Johnson (Justin), Idaho.
Several second cousins, too many to mention, you know who you are. Niece, Jessica Murphy and son Damien and also Jacob Johnson, son Huck.
Don was preceded in death by his Grandparents Elmer and Elyn Davis, Winnemucca and Grandpa, Joe Cecil Johnson, Winnemucca.
Don graduated Lowery High School in 1993. Went to CSI in Twin Falls for 1 year, came back to Winnemucca and went to work for Hycroft Mine, later Getchell Mine and finally Ken Ross at Round Mountain Gold for over 17 years til his passing.
Don loved Chukar Hunting with his dog, Rose, 4-wheeler rides with friends and family, golf, hunting large game, but his passion was fishing. With his blue dodge pickup and his Nitro Bass Boat, he would fish with friends and family wither going South or North.
Don was an Organ donor and to be cremated. We will will be having a celebration of life for family and friends on August 3rd at the Mason Lodge on Baud St. at 1 pm to 4 pm. God Bless!
