The Lowry High School athletes and coaches got the ball rolling this week with football, volleyball, girls golf, cross country, boys and girls soccer teams, cheerleaders and dance team getting ready for the upcoming season. The first games/meets of the year are set for Aug. 23-24. The Lowry JV and varsity football teams are in Pahrump, the volleyball teams are in Yerington and Truckee, the soccer teams open in South Tahoe and the cross country team is in Minden. The Lowry golfers get going a week later in Spring Creek and Elko.
