Humboldt County Commission meets Monday
Humboldt County Board of Commissioners will hold a Regular Meeting Monday, Aug. 19, at 9:30 a.m. at Humboldt County Courthouse Meeting Room 201, 50 West Fifth Street, Winnemucca.
Opportunities for public comment will be offered at the beginning and end of the meeting. Items for information or discussion and possible action include:
• Mormon Cricket infestation presentation and approval of a Notification to the Bureau of Land Management and the USDA-Animal Plant Inspection Service and the Nevada Department of Agriculture regarding the problem.
• Approval of a Targeted Grazing Environmental Assessment Comments Letter for the Bureau of Land Management’s Targeted Grazing of Annual Grasses in the Great Basin Ecoregion.
• Approval of a Letter of Support for Nevada Gold Mines Environmental Impact Statement for the Deep South Project in Lander County.
