The Floyd “Doc” Verner Memorial Junior Golf Tournament was held Wednesday at Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course. Thirty youngsters tore up the links on a beautiful August morning.
Kobe Stoker won his third consecutive boys 15-17 year-old title of the summer with a score of 75.
Reno’s Meghan Li shot 80 to grab the girls senior title.
Piper Nichols carded a 71 to win the girls 13-14 year-old top prize and Landon Esquivel (48) took the 13-14 year-old boys crown.
Katie Cassinelli (50) won the girls 11-12 year-old title and Txema Bengochea (46) was the boys 11-12 year-old champion.
Makinley Hislop (84) was the 10-U girls winner and Maddux Nichols (50) took the boys 10-U.
The final junior golf tournament of the summer, the Jeff Wade Memorial, will be held next Wednesday.
