Even their names shout fun. The Swamp Donkeys, Weekend Warriors and Station 19 Crazies face competition. They’ll battle the Inys and Outys, County, Jim’s Point and Fire Department.
Seven teams signed up for a summer of softball at McDougal Field. All the players call Lovelock home. The Softball Association welcomes players aged 16 and up.
A mascot throws the first pitch on Saturday, June 16 at 10 a.m. Raffle prizes include: six Aces tickets, gift certificates, backpacks and more.
The games begin on Monday, June 18. The Swamp Donkeys butt heads with the Inys and Outys at 6 p.m.
The County plays the Station 19 Crazies at 7 p.m. And Jim’s Point tackles the Weekend Warriors at 8 p.m.
The group scheduled triple-headers every Monday and Thursday evening through Aug. 2.
