Socorro Lopez Robles passed away peacefully on January 14, 2018 in Winnemucca, Nevada surrounded by his loving family. He had been fighting cancer but unfortunately he lost the battle.
Socorro was born on the day of March 13, 1963 to Socorro and Francisco Robles in Elko, Nevada. He later moved around to places such as Wells, Nevada; Lovelock, Nevada; Orville, California; Challenge, California and finally settled in Winnemucca, Nevada. He graduated from Pershing County High school and later achieved the careers of mining, tree trimming and also as a cook for a children’s camp.
He married the love of his life Eleanor Robles. His many hobbies and activities that he enjoyed doing consisted of many things. Things such as: fishing, hunting, camping, water skiing, singing with his grandkids, mechanic work, boating, riding his ATV, horseback riding, and last but not least, spending time with his family if he was not hard at work.
Socorro is survived by his wife Eleanor Robles of Winnemucca, Nevada; sons Michael (Christine) Robles of Winnemucca Walter (Verneen) Buschman of Lovelock, and Nick Buschman of Orville, California. His grandchildren, Brianna, Lazaro, Diego, Tatianna, Arianna, Michael Jr., Jason, Kimberly, Teresa, Zyna and Rosaline Robles; Paul and Caleb Buschman; Samuel, Jake, Jerry Bokori; Great-grandchildren Mariah, Aleah, Makayla, Jay, Kayden and Alijah Buschman; Allie Lindsey Bokori. His mother Maria Socorro Robles, brothers Francisco, Rafael and Tirso Robles, sisters Rosario, Lucia and Esther. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews and a host of longtime friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Francisco Lopez Robles, his sister Maria Buenaventura Orsi, and his nephew Blaine Lance Orsi.
A fund is set up at Wells Fargo in Winnemucca, Nevada to help pay for medical bills. Account under Eleanor Robles or Socorro. Graveside services for Socorro will be held Saturday January 20, 2018 at Big Meadow Cemetery in Lovelock, NV.
