Nine Lowry artists place in state competition

The Annual Scholastic Arts and Writing Competition is an event sponsored by the Nevada Museum of Art. This year Lowry High School student artists entered the competition to showcase their talent.

In December, Lowry High School had 26 student artists submit work; nine of them received honors ranging through the three award categories: Third Place Honorable Mention, Second Place Silver Key and First Place Gold Key. The Gold Key winners will have their work displayed in Reno with the other winners from across the state of Nevada and their work will be entered in to the National Scholastic Competition as a Nevada Student Artist.
