Obituary: Clarence J. Knight

Clarence J. Knight, 84, of Battle Mountain, Nevada passed from this life with his family by his side on December 9, 2017.

Clarence was born February 12, 1933 in Milford, Nebraska to Clarence and Florence Knight. He was raised in Montana and later lived in Wyoming, Arizona and finally settled in Nevada. He Married Mary Pinkerton in 1978 and they combined their families.

He graduated from High School in Helena, Montana and attended two years of college at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. Clarence proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

Clarence was a Diesel Mechanic working in the oil fields, doing construction, working in a coal mine, he spent one year overseas in the oil fields of Saudi Arabia, and his last job was at Echo Bay Minerals. He loved snowmobiling, reading, woodworking and spending time with his family.

Clarence is survived by his wife of thirty nine years Mary, his children Ernie (Kim) Pinkerton, Bryan (Crisy) Pinkerton, Lorie Pinkerton, Linda (Bob) Hartzell and Tracie (Ryan) Wegner; eighteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; his step brothers Einar Mortenson, Ellis Mortenson and Eric Mortenson and two special nieces Pam (Mark) Simmenson and Patricia (Sean) Conway.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Florence Knight and his son Steven Knight.

No services will be held at this time for Clarence. As was his request the family will be taking him home to Montana at a later date.
