Revving up for the Lincoln Highway Car Show

Once again the Main Street of Austin will be filled with both street shaking muscle cars and vintage automobiles! The Lincoln Highway Car Show is hosted by the Alvisto Roadsters and is open to all vehicles including hot rods, customs, classics, and race cars.

Rain, snow or shine the show will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 28 on Main Street of Historic Austin, Nevada. No car? No problem! Spectators can enjoy the event for free. This year there will be a Show & Shine, Poker Run, Music, Awards, a huge raffle, BBQ lunch, World Famous Mini Bike Races and more.

The event is put on by the Austin Chamber of Commerce and the Alviso Roadsters. Proceeds go back into the town of Austin. In the past, the money has helped get a new scoreboard and has gone to the Historic Society, Fire Dept., and a trip to Washington DC for some of Austin’s students.

The Lincoln Highway Car Show was started by a group of people including Jerry Foreman of the Alviso Roadsters, his wife Marsha and Chamber of Commerce members Dee and Kip Helming. The event has been a hit — bringing in locals and out-of-towners with old and new cars. As a tourist town, Austin welcomes travelers to their well-known events each year.

Entry form available at austinnevada.com. For more information, call The Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce at 775-964-2200 or Jerry Foreman at 408-203-3942.
