Reno Rodeo Foundation accepting applications for community grants, scholarships

RENO – On Oct. 2 the Reno Rodeo Foundation will begin accepting online applications for both its annual college scholarship program and its annual community grant program.

Since 1986, the foundation has endeavored to promote educational opportunities to all eligible Northern Nevada high school graduates. Over the years, the foundation has helped fund hundreds of students in furthering their education. All interested applicants are encouraged to carefully review the eligibility requirements and the application guidelines before applying. The number of scholarship recipients will vary based on the number of qualified applications received and the funding designated by the Reno Rodeo Foundation Board of Trustees.

New this year, Reno Rodeo Foundation is offering a Western Arts & Culture Scholarship in order to create further awareness and appreciation of western arts, culture and heritage in college-age Nevadans through recognition of outstanding potential, contributions and skill in the creative arts.

The Reno Rodeo Foundation scholarship application deadline is Feb.14, 2018.

Non-profit service agencies that are working to improve the quality of life for Northern Nevada children are invited to apply for up to $2,500 in funds. Applications will be accepted through Jan. 5, 2018.

The Reno Rodeo Foundation Community Grants Program distributes funds into the community by means of financial awards to deserving non-profit service organizations.
