Word on the Street is a new weekly segment where we ask readers for their opinions on topics important to them. This week's Word on the Street comes from Battle Mountain, where we asked: "How do you feel about the carnival returning to Battle Mountain?"

 “Its nice, gives the kids something to do and the carnival is bigger than the one we went to last year. So that’s nice.”

“Oh, its fun! Where I moved to in Tonopah, they don’t do anything for the kids like this. So coming here, I get to let my kid come to this. No negatives so far but we just got here.”

“I really like the carnival because they haven’t come in a while. My favorite ride is the zipper wheel.”

 “I’m happy, I like everything about it!”
