Local cancer survivors and caregivers honored at Relay for Life Appreciation Dinner

WINNEMUCCA — Local cancer survivors and their caregivers were honored at the American Cancer Society Relay For Life Survivor and Caregiver Appreciation Dinner held Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Winnemucca Boys and Girls Club.

The Winnemucca Sagebrush Muccers would like to applaud all cancer survivors.  They are the reason we continue to fight, because each year there can be more and more people living wonderful lives after a cancer diagnosis.

In addition, the Sagebrush Muccers would like to thank all of their sponsors and donors for their generosity and our volunteers for their support in this important event.

This year more than $15,000 was raised for the American Cancer Society’s research, education, advocacy and service programs.

The group was thankful to supports of the Relay for Life and reminds readers it’s never too late to get involved.  They hope to see more guests at next year's event.
