Winnemucca has a lot going on for Halloween. Here are some of the community events leading up to trick-or-treating on Oct. 31.
Oct. 21
The Zombie Wine Walk shambles through town starting at 3 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce. Bring in old pairs of eyeglasses to donate to the Lions Club, too.
Koyote Kruisers Trunk-or-Treat invades The Pig’s BBQ parking lot from 4 – 10 p.m. Children’s awards take place at 6 p.m., and adult awards at 9 p.m. Car contestants bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Ministerial Association for holiday season food baskets.
Winnemucca Grammar School’s annual Spook Night fundraiser haunts the Events Center from 5 — 8 p.m. Lots of games, prizes and family-friendly fun!
Oct. 24
Humboldt County Library holds its Spooktacular from 6 — 7 pm at the Humboldt County Library. Drop by for a kids costume contest and some sweet treats!
Oct. 27
The National Guard Armory on Fourth St. is the place for the Pumpkin Trail and Food Drive from 5 – 7 p.m. Bring one non-perishable food item per person for admission. Games, prizes, candy and family-friendly fun. Receive three tickets for every one additional food item donated.
Oct. 28
Winnemucca Businesses Trick or Treat opens up from 1 — 4 p.m. Lists of participating businesses are available at the Chamber of Commerce.
Oct. 31
If any candy still exists in the vicinity of Winnemucca by Halloween night, citywide trick-or-treating takes place from 5 — 8 p.m.
