Leslie L. Belanger, passed away on November 21, 2017 at the age of 90, in Lovelock, Nevada.
He was born in Reno, NV on March 19, 1927 to Dr. A.E. and Pearl Belanger.
He graduated from Pershing County High School in 1945 and was a navy veteran of World War II and Korea.
He went to work for the U.S. Postal Service in 1947 and retired in 1984. He married Virginia Gandiaga in 1950.
He later graduated from the California College of Mortuary Science in 1957 and then purchased the Eddy Mortuary in Lovelock in 1960, and renamed it the Belanger Funeral Home. He operated the Funeral Home until 1974.
Leslie was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1557.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife in 2014.
He is survived by his sons, Clyde (Sharon) Belanger of Milbridge, Maine; Brian (Mariann) Belanger of Winnemucca, NV; Grandchildren, Anya Huston, Brianna Monaco, Nicholas Belanger, Trevor Belanger; great grandchildren, Mila Huston, Kaia Hustonand numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 am at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Lovelock with Burial following in Lone Mtn. Cemetery, Lovelock.
Donations may be made in his memory to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
