Rye Patch Gold donates vehicle

Rye Patch Gold and the Florida Canyon Mine donated a used Mercury Sable vehicle to the Family Support Center (FSC) in Winnemucca. The car was donated to be auctioned off to benefit the Center’s programs and the people they serve. 

Some of the proceeds will help pay the costs involved in moving the FSC from its current location on South Bridge Street to its new location in the Humboldt General Hospital annex building at the corner of Bridge and Haskell Streets. The goal is for FSC to be at the new location by December 1. 

FSC Board Chair Harold Gudmundsen said how much everyone involved with and served by FSC appreciates the gracious donation by Rye Patch Gold.

The Family Support Center’s stated goal is to welcome everyone who walks through its doors and seek to help for individuals and families in Humboldt County by providing services including:

• mental health services 

• suicide prevention 

• individual counseling

• group support meetings

• parent coaching and parenting classes

• Celebrating Families (16 weeks 1x per week)

• Strengthening Families (seven weeks, 2x per week) 

• monitored visitation

• family therapy

• play therapy

• substance abuse counseling and treatment

• anger management

• DUI School

• mental health, psychological and substance abuse evaluations

• financial education

• wellness education
