As one season comes to an end, the next is starting for Lowry and McDermitt high schools. Basketball and wrestling are underway at the Humboldt County schools, with the first games just a week away. The Lowry boys basketball team will host Reno on Saturday, Nov. 25. The freshmen start at 10 a.m., followed by the JV and varsity. The Lowry girls begin its season on Wednesday, Nov. 29 in Reno at North Valleys High School. The freshmen tip off at 4 p.m. and the JV and varsity contests follow. The Buckaroo wrestling team will be in Fallon on Dec. 1-2 for the Fallon Duals. The McDermitt basketball teams open their season on Wednesday, Nov. 29 in Jordan Valley, Ore. The girls start at 6 p.m. and the boys play at 7:30 p.m. The Bulldogs will be at home to play Pyramid Lake on Nov. 30 at 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
