Nov. 8

Ashlee Grimm pleaded guilty to an amended charge of basic speed 1-10 miles over the speed limit. She was fined $100 + $95 AA.



Rene Alvarez Flores entered an Alford plea (a formal plea of guilty while asserting innocence) to an amended charge of failure to wear a seat belt. An additional charge of DUI-1 was dismissed. He was fined $25 + $50 AA.



Ramiro Perez pleaded guilty to domestic battery. An additional charge of harassment and making threats was dismissed. He was fined $200 + $105 AA, + $35 special assessment. Fines and fees were converted to three days in jail with credit for time served. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 28 days stayed for two years with two days in jail and credit for time already served. 48 hours of community service were converted to two days in jail, with credit for time already served. The defendant was ordered to complete 26 sessions of batterers intervention counseling. The judge was notified that the defendant has been sentenced and will be going to prison for other felony matters for an extended period of time. Regarding this charge, the defendant was admonished that possession, shipment or transportation of a firearm or ammunition is prohibited.



Nov. 9

The Humboldt County DA’s Office moved for a one-time dismissal of charges against Sharon Ann Baldwin for domestic battery. The court granted the motion and dismissed the case.



Brandon Omar Garcia pleaded guilty to an amended charge of possession of a drug not to be introduced into interstate commerce. The original charge was possession of a controlled substance. He was fined $500 + $140 AA. Fines and fees were converted to 6 days jail and credit was given for time served.

Ryan Paul Ashlock pleaded guilty to an amended charge of possession of a drug not to be introduced into interstate commerce. His original charge was possession of a controlled substance. An additional charge of operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license was dismissed. Ashlock was fined $500 + $140 AA. The court converted the fines and fees to 64 hours of community service.



Eugene Camas pleaded no contest to a charge of petit larceny. He was fined $1,000 + $140 + $200 warrant-late fee. Defendant was given credit of $1,100 for 11 days time already served. The remaining $240 was suspended for 3 months on condition no further violations of the law.



Nov. 14

Dewayne Kenneth Massey pleaded guilty to failing to use a seat belt and driving without a valid driver’s license. He was fined $25 + $50 AA for count one and fined $250 + $105 AA for count two.



Daniel Joseph Shaw pleaded guilty to petit larceny. He was fined $1,000 + $140 AA and a $200 bench warrant, late fee. He was given credit fof $600 for six days already served in jail.



Jesse Scott Howard completed the remaining required seven hours of community service and charges of minor in consumption/possession of alcohol and possession of paraphernalia were dismissed.



Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia against Cherinda Jenn Courtney were dismissed as part of an agreement that plead guilty to felony drug charges in district court.
