Home buyers who qualify for housing assistance through Nevada Rural Housing's “Home at Last” program may now also be eligible to receive a $1,500 credit through a Down Payment Assistance Grant exclusive to rural Nevada.

The credit is for conventional loans to borrowers with certain household income levels. Income limits for eligible counties vary depending on each county's statistics.

In Pershing County, the income eligibility limit is $50,320.

Humboldt County's income limit is $61,280.

Lander County's income limit is $66,080.

Elko County's income limit is $64,000.

Benefits of the Home at Last grant include

• Up to 97 percent loan-to-value

• Down payment assistance up to 5 percent

• Below-market interest rate option

• Lower mortgage insurance rates, making monthly payments more affordable.
