It is with great sadness that the family of Ramon Fernandez Elias announces his passing, on Friday, December 15, 2017. Ramon was a Winnemucca resident for over 40 years, he worked and retired from Southern Pacific Railroad at age 60. He was born July 25, 1928 in Mexico and moved to the states in 1949. Ramon was a very happy man who enjoyed music and loved his family and friends.
Ramon is preceded in death by his son Ramon Fernandez Jr. and is survived by his wife Virginia Fernandez of 68 years. Son's Roberto; Jose Luis: George and daughter's Josephine Cortez; Lucila Chavez; Carmen Iniguez; Teresa Saenz; Sylvia Covarrubias and numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and extended family.
A funeral service in memory of Ramon Fernandez Elias will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Winnemucca, NV 89445.
