Lady Bulldogs race past Raiders

The McDermitt High School girls basketball team continued its winning ways last week with a 43-30 win at Rimrock, Idaho, on Wednesday Dec. 13.

The Lady Bulldogs picked up scoring from seven different players, with Precious Masters and Morissa Bitt leading the way with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

McDermitt jumped out to a 14-10 advantage in the first quarter and did not trail again. The Lady Bulldogs held the Raiders to single digits in the final three quarters.

McDermitt led 27-18 at halftime and kept its distance from Rimrock in the second half, outscoring the Idaho school 16-12 in the third and fourth quarters.

Freshman Katie Crutcher added six points, Shania Lenoir and Sami Crutcher each had four points and Jasmine Northrup and Victoria Navarro had two points apiece.

McDermitt (8-1) saw its schedule change for the end of the year and will play in the West Coast Jamboree in Vallejo, Calif., from Dec. 27-29. 

McDermitt will play Kennedy (Richmond, Calif.) on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 7 p.m.
