Hugo Alfonso Lopez pleaded guilty to two of four counts with which he was originally charged. He was fined $50 + $65 AA for not having a license required to drive a motorcycle, he was fined $500 + $140 AA for not stopping on the signal of a police officer and fined $100 + $95 for operating an unregistered vehicle. He was given credit of $100 for one day already served in jail. Additional charges for tail lamps required and having no proof of insurance were dismissed.

Osmin Lopez Martinez pleaded guilty to three of four counts with which he was charged. For DUI-2, he was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 20 days stayed for one year on condition he serve 10 days. He was given credit for 10 days already served. He was fined $500 + $140 AA + $60 forensic fee and $100 special DUI fee. Victim Impact Panel was ordered. He was ordered to have a breath interlock device installed for 12 months. He is to attend AA meetings four times a month for six months, with monthly reports to the court, no alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician. No further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. Other fines and fees for count two, tail lamps required and count three, driving without a valid driver’s license will run concurrent with DUI fine. An additional count of no proof of insurance was dismissed upon the defendant providing proof.

Kristen Horn was found not guilty at a bench trial of duty to give information and render aid, failure to report an accident, hit and run property damage and driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license. Charges were dismissed.

Sarah Marie Heitman pleaded guilty to DUI and was sentenced to 120 days in jail with 119 days stayed. She was given credit for one day already served in jail. She was fined $1,000 + $140AA + $60 forensic fee + $100 special DUI fee, totaling $1300. The judge suspended $900 of that amount. DUI School and Victim Impact Panel ordered. A breath interlock device is to be installed for a period of 12 months. Jail time, fines and fees were suspended for a period of two years on a stipulation that the defendant enter the diversion program as directed by Sixth Judicial District Court and comply with all requirements for successful completion. No alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician, no further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. Defendant will be subject to random testing, must have an ankle monitor within 24 hours of release.
