Both direction of I-80 are experiencing snowfall with chains or snow tires required over Emigrant Summit. The road is messy from milepost 262 through milepost 275. Use caution and allow extra time to travel through this area. In addition, an accident at milepost 277 is expected to cause a traffic snarl until about noon, according to the Nevada Department of Transportation website.
