The Winnemucca City Council meets Tuesday, May 5, at 2 p.m. at City Hall. City officials will discuss and possibly take action on the following agenda items:
Three Proclamations-Awards will be presented by Mayor Di An Putnam for:
• Walk A Mile In Her Shoes — May 15, 2015
• Foster Care Appreciation — May 16, 2015
• Nevada Wildfire Awareness Month — May 2015
• City council will discuss the Pleasant Senior Center building-improvement project phase II grand funding agreement.
• City council will hear a request for temporary street closure of Winnemucca Boulevard from Model T Motel parking lot to Hurst Street for the Basque Festival Parade on Saturday, June 13, starting at 11 a.m. until parade concludes.
• City council will hear an update on recreation program from Chad Peters.
• City council will discuss the city contribution to employee health insurance for the fiscal year of 2015-2016.
• City council will discuss the resolution to adopt fiscal year 2015-2016 position and salary range schedule.
