Nevada Health Link enrolls 14,570 Nevadans in first month of open enrollment period

CARSON CITY — Open Enrollment through NevadaHealthLink.com is the one time of year Nevadans can freely enroll or make changes to their health insurance plan without experiencing a qualifying life event. Nevada’s Open Enrollment Period began on November 1 and 14,570 Nevadans have already taken action to actively shop and enroll in plans in the first month.

Enrollment opens for government-subsidized health insurance plans through Nevada Health Link

Nov. 1 is now officially Nevada Health Coverage Day after Gov. Joe Lombardo issued a proclamation Wednesday morning raising awareness about the importance of health insurance. Wednesday also marked the start of the 76-day open enrollment period for health or dental care plans through Nevada Health Link, the state’s health insurance marketplace created through the Affordable Care Act for Nevadans who are uninsured, do not qualify for Medicaid or Medicare, and are not getting coverage through their employer.

Central Nevada Health District opens office in Pershing County

Pershing County shared a Heath Nurse with Humboldt County until she retired in 2022. That office located in the Annex building at 535 Western Ave now houses the Pershing County Office of the Central Nevada Health District (CNHD). CNHD can be called in Lovelock 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday at 775 273-6285 or in Fallon at 775 867-8181. The Pershing County website https://www.pershingcountynv.gov/ has a link to the CNHD website for convenience which also has a calendar of events.

Nevada Health Link continues enrollment efforts as Medicaid Renewals unwind

CARSON CITY — As the redetermination process associated with the unwinding of the Public Health Emergency continues, Nevada Health Link, Nevada’s health insurance marketplace, is continuing to work diligently to streamline the enrollment process for individuals and households whose increased income no longer qualifies them for Medicaid coverage.
