The McDermitt volleyball team celebrates after scoring the winning point against Owyhee to send them to the state tournament for the first time since 2012.
The last time the McDermitt High School volleyball team advanced to the state tournament, the seven current members were just starting kindergarten or not even in school. The Lady Bulldogs last advance to a 1A state championship in 2010, as part of a three-year run.
