In the late hours of April 3rd, 2025, Paul Elroy Meckley, aged 68, peacefully passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love and inspiration.
Born on November 12th, 1956, Paul was a remarkable individual whose many talents enriched the lives of everyone around him.
His children often reflect on the fact that there was nothing Paul couldn’t do or figure out.
A master craftsman, his carpentry skills brought to life beautiful custom homes in Winnemucca and the surrounding areas.
In his younger days, Paul embraced adventure with open arms — whether rock climbing, water skiing, snowmobiling, golfing, hang gliding or fishing, he was always seeking the next thrill.
His ability to make friendships and engage in meaningful conversations was unmatched, often enjoyed over a refreshing Dos Amigos Margarita.
As a grandfather, Paul was truly exceptional. He instilled values of kindness and respect in his grandchildren, always being their first call in times of need.
His infectious spirit and boundless sense of humor brought joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
He will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Paul is survived by his beloved son, Michael (Jessica) Meckley; daughters, Kylee (Jimmy) Nelson and Lyndsee (Tony) Jimenez; grandsons, Jaden and Byron Jimenez, Heath Meckley, and Sebastian Meckley; and granddaughters, Leigha Meckley and Taylor Jimenez.
He is also remembered fondly by his mother-in-law, Lonetta Breshears, and his siblings, Novella (Jim) Yancey, Loretta (Roy) Blacksmith, Shirley Dawson, Walter (Charlotte) Meckley, and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Meckley, along with numerous cherished nieces and nephews.
Paul is preceded in death by his father, Elroy Ellsworth Meckley mother,
Mary Elizabeth (Wright) Meckley and step father, James (Jim) Tedrick, as well as his brother, Bob Meckley.
