Mitch was born in upstate New York to Fritz and Jennifer Huber. He was the eldest of five children.
He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp at the age of seventeen.
In the early 60’s he and his family headed west to California where he pursued an acting carrier.
In the early seventies the family moved to Winnemucca and Mitch soon followed.
He worked for the United States Postal service until his retirement.
During his time in Winnemucca, he became a Minister and preformed many Weddings.
His passion for baseball led him to coach and play the entire time he was in Winnemucca and he continued to play well into his seventy’s. He was always an inspiring musician as well.
After his retirement from the Post Office, he moved to Florida to escape the cold winters. He worked for the Daytona newspaper until his final retirement.
He is Survived by his life partner Sherry Huber, His Sister Fran Lee, Brothers Steph, Red and Jude.
There will be no services and his ashes will be spread in the Winnemucca area.
As he would always say “Chin up, Chest out, Stomach in Brother”
