Dennis Edmond Paquette

January 14, 1945 - March 10, 2025

In loving memory of Dennis Edmond Paquette, a beloved family man, proud US Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served proudly as a crew chief on B- 52’s.
He was a strong Colorado rancher, and passionate Nevada Mine Safety Professional, whom passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025 at the Reno VA CLC Hospice.
Born on January 14, 1945, in Salida, Colorado, to F. Emerine and Dennis L. Paquette (refered to as “Dad” to nearly all who knew him).
He was a true family man, cherishing every moment with his loved ones.
Dennis especially enjoyed fishing with his wife, teaching his grandchildren to shoot, finding new recipes to share and creating family opportunities for crepe eating contests.
Outside of his family time Dennis enjoyed day excursions to places less traveled, the company of his family pets and volunteering as a local EMS first responder EMT-I/Instructor on the Humboldt County Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
Dennis was a dedicated member of the Vietnam Veterans Association of America VVA Chapter #744, I.O.O.F Oddfellows Lodge #16, Elks Lodge #808 Salida and a Mason with the Winnemucca Freemasons Lodge #19. He will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful extended family, friends and medical providers that have supported Dennis and Anita the last several years. Your support and love has made a world of difference and is appreciated.
Dennis is survived by his devoted wife, Anita Paquette; his daughter, Deborah Thompson (Les), grandchildren Teelia Lee (Justin), Kaylia Carreiro (Jesse), and Tyrell Thompson; his son Christopher “Cobb” Paquette (Temby), granddaughter Maisie Paquette; daughter-in-law Shelley Paquette Gomez (Roger), grandchildren Brandon Jr Paquette, Abigail Paquette, his godson Marshall Stevenson, his cousin Christy Paquette and many cherished family and friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his beloved son, Brandon L. Paquette, in 2008.
Dennis will be interred at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley Nevada, per his wishes.
A memorial service will be held in June (details will be posted closer to the date).
In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations can be made to the VVA Chapter #744 in Winnemucca in Dennis Paquette’s name.
