Yolanda Calderon Alcaraz passed away on February 25, 2025, in Winnemucca, Nevada.
She was born on October 14, 1954, in El Bordo, Colima, Mexico to Manuel Alcaraz and Maria Cardenas.
She married Gerardo Calderon in 1978. The two had 2 children, Yolanda and Belen.
Yolanda lived in Winnemucca for 45 years. She worked as an environmental manager at Humboldt General Hospital for 22 years.
She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was deeply loved by so many and had a profound impact on countless lives.
No matter the situation, she was always there, ready to lend a helping hand with compassion and kindness.
She is survived by her husband, Gerardo Calderon. Her children, Yolanda Gardner and Belen Moran. Her grandchildren, Araceli Galarza, Alexis Galarza, Julissa Moran, Julian Moran and Jayvian Moran. She is also survived by her brothers, Victor and Santiago Alcaraz and her sisters, Estela Neri and Eva Alcaraz.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Alcaraz and Maria Cardenas. Her brothers, Teofilo, Fermin and Arturo Alcaraz and her sisters Elisa and Bertha Alcaraz.
A Rosary and Viewing will be held on March 6, 2025, at 6:00 pm at Sonoma Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be on March 7, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Catholic Church with Burial to follow at the Winnemucca Cemetery.
