Anne Mabel Shepler

Anne Mabel Shepler passed away on December 30, 2024, at her home in Winnemucca, Nevada.
She was born on May 19, 1944, to Kerwin and Frances Foley.
She was born and raised in Reno, Nevada and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with her bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology.
After college, Anne took a three-month biking trip through Europe. She loved to travel and experience new places.
She lived in Bakersfield, California and Lake Isabella, California. She worked for the Kern County Superintendent of Schools, while there.
She married Arthur “Dan” Shepler on March 6, 1971. The two were married for 53 years.And shared 2 children, Alice Guzouskis and Susan Shepler.
The family moved to Winnemucca, Nevada in 1980, where she made her forever home.
She worked for the Humboldt County School District and eventually retired.
Anne was a member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed tennis, swimming and her flower garden.
Anne was known for her warm and generous spirit. She cherished her time with family and friends. Anne’s kindness knew no bounds, and she had a unique ability to make everyone around her feel valued and appreciated.
Her compassion, thoughtfulness, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She will be remembered not only for her kindness but also for the love and joy she brought into the lives of those around her.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Daniel Shepler, her children, Alice (Brock) Guzouskis and Susan (Mike) Shepler, her grandchildren, Kelsey Gabrielson, Balian Guzouskis, Johaunna Shepler and Seamus Maloon and her sister, Susan Gibbs.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kerwin and Frances Foley and her sister, Frances Lukasko.
A Memorial Service will be held on January 12, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Winnemucca United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that donations be made to Aging and Dementia Friendly Winnemucca, an organization that supports those in need within the community.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Ginny Cunningham with Aging and Dementia Friendly Winnemucca, Neighbor Network of Northern Nevada, and Guiding Light Hospice for their unwavering support and compassionate care.
Their kindness and dedication brought comfort during a difficult time, and the family is deeply appreciative of all they did.
