Leon Joe Dennison

June 26, 1943 - March 25, 2025

There has been a change of address for Leon Joe Dennison.
Joe spent almost 82 years on this earth…born June 26, 1943, and moved to heaven March 19, 2025!
Joe was born in White Mills, Kentucky and had 15 brothers and sisters.
He served his country in the United States Navy, was a hard worker, excelled in business, taught public speaking, was an excellent golfer and bowler, loved all things Dodger Baseball, fervently followed Kentucky Wildcat Basketball, was a master gardener, could sing like the angels, was quick witted and wanted to hold all the babies.
BUT…. the most important things to him were not accomplishments or hobbies, they were
1. His trust and salvation in Jesus Christ as the only way to heaven!
And 2. His family which includes but is not limited to:
~ His beautiful wife of 58+ years: Grace Irene Dennison of whom he adored and showered with songs, flowers, chocolate covered cherries and coffee.
~ His three daughters and their husbands: Sheri Lynn Lewis (John “PJ” Lewis), Wendy Lee Barron (Jake Barron) and Faith Lee “Pokey” Dennison who preceded him in death.
~ His two biological granddaughters and their families: Allison Faith Bliss (Levi Bliss and great granddaughter Adeline Gwen) and Ashlee Amber Riddle (Christian Riddle and great granddaughter coming in May).
His two almost-granddaughters and their families: Caitlynn Dennis (Sterling Dennis and Mckynlee Dennis and Tayte Dennis) and Kelcey Cooper.
And countless other family and friends all over the world!

He will be missed here on earth, but we grieve with joy and hope knowing that we will see him again!
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00AM Friday, April 11, 2025, at:

Join us at noon for a Veteran’s Cannon Salute at the Winnemucca Cemetery.
