Rudy retired from farming in 1998 and they moved to Cochise, AZ. Rudy passed away in Arizona in 2013. Edie was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, and treasured friend.
She loved music and with her beautiful voice was passionate about singing in the church choir whenever given the opportunity.
She touched many people by giving them a hand knitted prayer shawl that she lovingly prayed over and worked on for hours.
Edie had a wonderful sense of humor and even when things were tough, she had the ability to remain joyful and when something struck her as funny, she would laugh so hard that you could do nothing else but laugh along with her.
She brought joy and showed kindness to every nurse and doctor she visited. Her positivity through the tough times was a gift to everyone around her.
She will be greatly missed as she was loved immensely by her family and friends.
The most important thing Edie leaves her family and friends is a legacy of faith. She was a prayer warrior.
She knew the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and was sure of her salvation and where she would spend eternity. In her own words,“If I could give my family anything from my life, I would give all of them Jesus. He has been the only thing in my life that has never changed.”
