Rachel Louise Melody

January 26, 1934 - August 21, 2024

Rachel was born in Tonopah Nevada on January 26th, 1934, to Anthony and Katherine Antoniazzi.
She died, peacefully, on August 21st, 2024, at her home in Paradise Valley Nevada holding hands with family. She was 90 years young.
In life to know Rachel was to be part of her extended family.
Offering a warm embrace and a rub on the back was her love language.
This was never more evident than throughout her career working with adults with special needs at Sonoma Industries.
She found great pride in helping her clients find their way in the world.
Her favorite things in life were her family, her friends, happy hour, beating her great grandkids at poker! and watching Hallmark Christmas movies in July.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, her brother, Fred, and her husband of 64 years Lynford Melody, and her two sons Raymond and Tony Melody.
She is survived by her sister, Lois Pruneau, granddaughters, Monique McDermott (Ben), Lynda Catlett (Evan), Shanley Berrigan, six great grandchildren and five great- great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the residents of Paradise Valley, the staff at Guiding Light Hospice, and to her best friends that made her feel so loved.
Interment will be at Paradise Valley Cemetery on September 14th at 1:00 pm with a Celebration of life to follow. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you please hug your loved ones tight and tell them how much you love them!
