Marcella Marie Allec passed away suddenly at her home August 22, 2024 in Carson City, Nevada with her son Kenny by her side, her brother Joe and her Mom.
Her passing comes as a shock to her family and friends.
Marcella is the daughter of Everett Alfonso Allec and Bonnie Claire Browne Allec.
Marcella was Born in Reno, Nevada, November 23, 1966. Marcee grew up primarily in Carson City, Nevada, where she graduated from Carson City High School in 1984.
After which she attended the University of Nevada Reno.
While attending Carson City High School, Marcee was a JV and Varsity cheerleader, where she was ableto show off her gymnastics abilities by performing backflips during halftime shows.
At the age of four, she developed a love for gymnastics. As she honed her skills, she became one of the top competitive gymnasts in the State of Nevada.
Al Lansdon and Nancy Roach, who were both coaches for Flips Gymnastics Association, were an integral part of her successful gymnastics career.
In the late 70’s, she became a Class 1 Competitive Gymnast and traveled throughout the Western United States until she dislocated her right elbow while performing a handspring front on the vault.
Marcee’s joy and love of gymnastics was a lifelong passion. While helping coach with Al Lansdon, this spurred her and her husband, David Lester, to open their own gymnastics business, Silver State Gymnastics in Carson City, Nevada.
Over 27 years later, the business still continues to thrive by encouraging, training and developing others in the sport of gymnastics. Marcee’s love, joy, passion and spirit will forever live on through Silver State Gymnastics.
Most recently, Marcee experienced the love and joy of becoming a Grandma to her beautiful Granddaughter, Kaylani Brown. Nana Marcee loved babysitting, singing, playing and making memories with Kaylani.
Marcee always had a playful competitive spirit. She was sassy, funny, and a great story-teller. She loved to dance, listen to music, sing karaoke, attend Hot August Nights, Nevada Day, and just hangout with her friends and family.
Marcella is survived by her three children; Brian Lester (30), Robin Richey (21), Kenneth Allec-Richey (17), Granddaughter, Kaylani Brown, and Mother, Bonnie C Browne Allec (83).
Marcella is the 7th child of Everett Allec’s 11 children. Survived by sisters: Patricia Goodwin-Asire (Mark) of Georgia, Kathy Carlson (Cliff) of Nevada, Melanie Mason (Greg) of Nevada, and brothers: Everett Allec Jr.(Annette) of Tennessee, Jason Allec of Florida, Kevin Allec of North Carolina, Dana Allec of Nevada, Joseph Allec of Nevada, Jerry Allec of Nevada and Anthony Allec (Sophia) of Nevada and former spouse David Lester.
Survived by 13 nieces and 7 nephews along with several great nieces and nephews.
Marcella is preceded in death by her father Everett A Allec, niece Natalie Marie Martin, maternal grandparents Howard E and Vera M Haviland Browne, paternal grandparents Joseph and Alta Tripp Allec.
Our Family invites everyone to come and celebrate the life of Marcella “ Marcee” Allec on Saturday,
September 7th, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 pm. A viewing will be held prior to services from 11:00-12:30 pm in the Relief Society Room at 411 N Saliman Rd, Carson City, NV 89701.
Internment will be held at the Dayton City Cemetery immediately following the services.
