Jeffrey Vernon Wiseley

May 24, 1973 - March 6, 2024

Jeffrey Vernon Wiseley passed away on March 6, 2024. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.
Jeff was born on May 24, 1973 to John and Rita Ernest Wiseley in Carson City, NV.
He grew up happy and full of adventure. His dad sparked his love of exploring, camping, mining, learning about rocks and minerals, working on vehicles, etc.
They have had a lifelong friendship cherished by them both. He had a love of all things mechanical. He was often working on vehicles and fixing things.
If he didn’t know how to fix something, he would call his dad for advice or watch a YouTube video to figure it out.
He had a passion for flying his drones and vacationing with his wife and daughter to many different places.
He vacationed in Fort Bragg, CA often as a child and loved taking his own family there as an adult.
Jeff graduated from Carson High. He went on to attend UNR. Jeff worked at Turquoise Ridge for many years.
He also worked for Coeur Alaska, Newmont and Hecla Rosebud Mine. He loved all things mining.
He met his loving wife in Elko, NV. Their love story began in 2004.
They moved to Winnemucca in 2005 and bought their home, where they held their wedding ceremony.
They had a marriage full of friendship, love and adventure. They enjoyed camping, exploring ghost towns, and vacationing. They were looking forward to their upcoming Alaska trip and many camping trips.
He became “dad” to his daughter Kaydie when she was 5 years old.
They enjoyed gaming together, listening to music, inventing silly games such as T-rex Frisbee, and he was her built-in math and science tutor.
He proudly attended Kaydie’s performances and always gave her flowers after. He was looking forward to her wedding day and walking her down the aisle.
He was known for his sense of humor and was easy to get along with. He had nick names for all. He was very kind and had a love for his family, friends and animals.
He was referred to as Uncle Honey by his nieces and nephews. He was a wonderful uncle. They all knew he would ride roller coasters with them, take them for rides in his rhino, and help them with anything they needed.
His kindhearted, giving nature continued even in death through his gift to others of organ, tissue and bone donation. Through that he will bless hundreds of people.
Jeff is survived by his wife Jen and daughter Kaydie (Cameron Echave), his parents John and Rita Wiseley, his in-laws, Rick and Janeen Holm and his siblings and siblings-in-law Dale Miller, Karla Headley, Nicole Archuleta (Kevin), Kim Magruder (Ryan), Zack Holm (Brittney).
