Consuelo Gutierrez passed away on March 2, 2024, at the age of 75.
She was born on March 28, 1948, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico to Eli Gutierrez.
She lived in Guadalajara, Jalisco for many years then migrated to Winnemucca, Nevada in 1977 with her 6 children. Most of her adult life she lived in Winnemucca, Nevada and sometime was spent in Reno, Nevada.
She began working at Winnemucca Farms then changed careers and began working at the Red Lion for many years.
After some time, she began focusing on health, she strived to be active every single day.
She spent most of her day walking around town, visiting family members and being active. She was not one to stay in one place – she was always on the move, especially when it came to her children.
She was driven to make sure they knew the meaning of hard work and that hard work can bring out amazing outcomes.
She lived for quality time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and understood that her legacy and drive would live on with them.
Consuelo is survived by her children, Maria Cristina Bautista (Winnemucca, NV), Mario Bautista (Winnemucca, NV), Alfredo Bautista (Mexico), Marisela Bautista (Mexico), Marta Bautista (Reno, NV), Francisco Bautista (Reno, NV) and Monica Cordova (Reno, NV).
Her grandchildren, Gustavo Munoz, Richard Munoz, Abran Munoz, Natalee Munoz, Luis Cruz, Mario Bautista Jr., Adrianna Kincaid, Evelyn Bautista, Maricela Bautista, Alberto Bautista, Jenniyfer Bautista, Crystal Rodriguez, Martin Rodriguez Jr., Veronica Greer, Emily Bautista, Paula Medina, Jonathan Bautista, Alexis Bautista, Yarlett Romero, Esmeralda Romero, Consuelo Romero, Alexandra Rivas, Alexander Rivas, Angelina Cordova, Jorge Cordova Jr., Ruben Cordova, Ana Cordova, Carlos Zamarripa Jr., and Adan Zamarripa.
And many more great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother Eli Gutierrez.
Her children Jorge Cordova, Valentine Bautista, and Celia Bautista.
A Rosary will be held on March 11, 2024, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Sonoma Funeral Home and church services will be held on March 12, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
