Réal Mario Joseph Desrosiers “Spike” passed away on June 8, 2024, in Reno, Nevada.
He was born on August 28, 1962, in Chapais, Quebec, Canada to Bertrand and Lucie Desrosiers.
He was born in Canada and traveled around the United States as a child because his dad was a tramp miner.
He joined the United States Army in 1981 in the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).
He came to Winnemucca in 1992 to raise his family and live the rest of his life.
He worked in mining his whole career and also worked in Mine Rescue and was an EMT.
He enjoyed taking his grandson fishing and working in his shop with his boys.
Loved binge watching tv shows and was known for hiding his favorite snacks and not sharing.
He also enjoyed off-roading, shooting and tractor work.
He is survived by his wife, Shannon (separated), his children, Nicholas (Samantha), Jaymin (Ceara) and Chayse (Natalee).
His grandchildren, Calli, Brendyn and Myles. His brother, Daniel and sisters, Nancy and Diane and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bertrand and Lucie Desrosiers.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 10, 2024, at the Water Hole #1, 425 Old Highway 40 E. Golconda, Nevada 89414 at 2:00 pm. Anyone who knew Spike is welcome.
