Chester Robert “Bob” Killfoil of Fallon, Nevada, passed away at home on April 10,2024, after a long and courageous battle with heart disease.
Bob was born on April 11,1947, in Alturas, California, to Marvin and Frances Killfoil, the fourth of six children.
He attended the first four years of school in Willow Ranch, California.
In 1956, the family moved to Lovelock, Nevada, where he continued his education until graduating from Pershing County High School in 1965 as class valedictorian.
After marrying Nikki Vonsild, Bob went to work for Sierra Pacific Power Company.
Several years later he transferred to Fallon, Nevada, where they raised their daughters Jessica and Claudeane.
He continued to work for Sierra Pacific until his retirement. A highlight of his retirement was building a log house with his brother, Jim, in Jamestown, California.
Bob is survived by his wife, Nikki, daughters, Jessica ( Kyle) Abarca, Claudeane Killfoil (Brian Clouser), siblings - Kay (John) Prida, Mike (Chinchie) Killfoil, Jim (Vicki) Killfoil, LuRuth Walls, and Lynda Quilici - grandchildren Zoe and Kai Abarca, and numerous nieces and nephews.
