Burletha Jean Price (Blair), sometimes called Jeanie, age 86 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at her daughter’s home in Idaho.
She was born in Oil Springs, Kentucky, the daughter of Burlie John and Mollie Love Blair (Witten) and Hazel Blair (Crace).
She grew up in Oil Springs, Kentucky, and attended the local school system with her 7 siblings.
Later she moved to Marion, Ohio and married Robert William Price. Together they lived in Toledo, Ohio, and Amargosa Valley, Nevada.
She lived in Winnemucca, Nevada for over 35 years before living with her daughter and son-in-law in Idaho.
When Burletha was a young woman, she worked as a waitress, but most of her working years were at two different mines in Nevada.
She was a lab technician for American Borate in Amargosa Valley and the HyCroft Gold Mine in Winnemucca. She was a great lab technician because she had excellent math skills.
After retiring from the mines, she ran parts for Diamond Plastic in Nevada. She also worked for one of the casinos.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Chelsie Daniel Bailey; a son, James Mirl Price; two brothers, Kenneth Burley Blair and Johnny Wayne Blair; and two sisters, Theda Blair and Betty Williams.
